Exciting News: The Compass Rose Health Plan is Now Open to All Federal Employees & Retirees

We believe all federal employees deserve access to exceptional health care that meets their unique needs, which is why we're thrilled to announce that our health plan will be available to ALL federal employees and retirees eligible for the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program this Open Season!

While more people will have access to our plans, we want to assure you that this expansion won’t change who we are and the values that have always set us apart.

At the Compass Rose Health Plan, we understand that as life changes, your needs change too. That’s why we have plans designed to support you through all stages of life.

  • Our Standard Option is our lowest premium plan and covers the essentials, like in-network preventive care, doctor visits and prescription drugs. Plus, extras like massage therapy and a vision allowance. You’ll also enjoy lower co-pays when you visit network premium care physicians.
  • Our High Option provides comprehensive coverage, going beyond the essentials with extras like unlimited free telehealth, coverage for massage therapy and lower co-pays and a wellness rewards program to help lower your out-of-pocket costs. This plan also gives you the flexibility to go in or out of network.
  • Our Medicare Advantage Option includes benefits tailored to the unique needs of retirees, including up to $1,500 per year toward your Medicare Part B premium and perks like dental, vision and a free gym membership. You must be retired and enrolled in both Medicare Parts A and B and our High Option plan to elect this enhanced level of benefits.

Changes to All of Our Plans

  • Massage Therapy: We are increasing reimbursement for massage therapy visits from up to $60 per covered visit to up to $75 per covered visit.

Changes to Our Standard Option Plan

  • Specialty Drugs: The maximum you pay for Specialty Formulary/Preferred Brand Name drugs has increased from $1,000 to $1,500.

Changes to Our High Option Plan

  • Out of Pocket Maximum: For Self Plus One and Self and Family, the in network out-of-pocket maximum has increased from $9,000 to $10,000 and the out-of-network out-of-pocket maximum has increased from $11,000 to $14,000.
  • Emergency Room: For emergency room visits, you will pay a 10% coinsurance (no deductible), waived if admitted.
  • Urgent Care: The co-pay for urgent care has decreased from $50 to $35, waived if admitted.
  • Skilled Nursing Facilities: For covered in-network care, you will pay a 10% coinsurance. Both in- and out-of-network care have a 75-day maximum.
  • Residential Treatment Services: For residential treatment services, you pay a 10% coinsurance in network and overseas, with a 90-day maximum.
  • Medicare Prescription Drug Plan: We are introducing a new Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) EGWP for eligible members not in the Compass Rose Medicare Advantage Plan. Members entitled to Medicare Part A and/or enrolled in Medicare Part B will be automatically enrolled. Through this plan, you may have lower out-of-pocket costs on your prescriptions. How to Enroll During Open Season

Open Season runs from November 11 to December 9, 2024. During this time, you will have the opportunity to enroll or make changes to your plan. Open Season enrollment changes are effective on the first day of the first full pay period that begins on or after January 1, 2025.

There are two ways you can enroll in the Compass Rose Health Plan during Open Season:

There are several ways you can enroll in the Compass Rose Health Plan during Open Season:

  • Use OPM’s Open Season Online system
  • Call Open Season Express at 1-800-332-9798
  • Send regular mail to:

You’ll need the full name of the health plan and the enrollment code (see above) to enroll.
