Responding to Coronavirus

Written by Lindsay Vormack | 06/29/2020

As we continue to monitor the situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we encourage our members to take steps to help protect their health and well-being. The Compass Rose Health Plan will cover the costs of diagnostic testing for COVID-19, ensuring no cost to members.

Prevention Guidelines

Although there are currently no vaccines available to protect against human coronavirus infection, you may be able to reduce your risk of infection by following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) prevention guidelines.

Virtual Support

Given the nature of the COVID-19 epidemic, seeking in-person medical care may lead to further spreading of the virus. Telehealth services can help avoid exposure and reduce the risk of being exposed to germs in the waiting room. With a virtual visit you can talk to a provider via video from the comfort of your home using your smartphone, tablet or computer.

Doctor On Demand: Compass Rose Health Plan members have access to telehealth services provided by Doctor On Demand. You can connect with a doctor face to face 24/7 for FREE. Their doctors see and treat hundreds of medical issues, including 18 of the top 20 seen by urgent care and the E.R.

Based on CDC guidelines, Doctor On Demand has launched a two-minute assessment to help patients determine what precautions they should take as Coronavirus spreads in their community. The assessment also provides personalized prevention recommendations.

In-Network Provider: Your in-network provider may also be offering virtual visits. An in-network telehealth visit is a $0 co-pay for a primary care provider and a $25 co-pay for a specialist.
